Simple Present Passive (Kebiasaan/Fakta)

Digunakan untuk sesuatu yang dilakukan secara rutin atau fakta umum.

Rumus: S + is/am/are + V3
Contoh Aktif: The postman delivers letters.
Contoh Pasif: Letters are delivered by the postman.

Simple Past Passive (Masa Lalu)

Digunakan untuk tindakan yang sudah selesai di masa lampau.

Rumus: S + was/were + V3
Contoh Aktif: Raditya Dika wrote that book.
Contoh Pasif: That book was written by Raditya Dika.

Present Continuous Passive (Sedang Berlangsung Sekarang)

Ini yang unik, karena ada tambahan kata being.

Rumus: S + is/am/are + being + V3
Contoh Aktif: Mechanics are repairing my car.
Contoh Pasif: My car is being repaired by mechanics.

Present Perfect Passive (Sudah Baru Saja Terjadi)

Digunakan jika efeknya masih terasa sampai sekarang. Ada tambahan kata been.

Rumus: S + has/have + been + V3
Contoh Aktif: Someone has stolen my motorcycle.
Contoh Pasif: My motorcycle has been stolen.

Future Passive (Masa Depan)

Digunakan untuk rencana atau prediksi. Ada tambahan kata be.

Rumus: S + will + be + V3
Contoh Aktif: The government will build a bridge.
Contoh Pasif: A bridge will be built by the government.

Contoh Percakapan Panjang

Situasi: Di sebuah lokasi syuting film.

Sutradara: “Why is the set so messy? Has the floor been cleaned?” (Present Perfect Passive)

Asisten: “It was cleaned this morning, Sir. But the actors just finished a scene with fake rain.” (Simple Past Passive)

Sutradara: “I see. Is the camera ready?”

Asisten: “Wait a second, Sir. The lens is being wiped right now by the crew.” (Present Continuous Passive)

Sutradara: “Good. Tell the actors that the script will be changed a bit for the next scene.” (Future Passive)

Asisten: “Understood. The new scripts are printed as we speak.” (Simple Present Passive)

Setiap kali kamu melihat kalimat Pasif, cari dua komponen ini: Keluarga “To Be” (is, am, are, was, were, been, being, be) dan Verb 3. Jika salah satu hilang, berarti itu bukan Passive Voice yang benar.
