8. Question Tag

Konsep Utama: * Kalimat (+) -> Tag (-)

• Kalimat (-) -> Tag (+)
• Tag selalu menggunakan Pronoun (I, you, we, they, he, she, it).

8.1. Simple Tenses (Present & Past)

Fokus pada pemilihan “mesin” (Auxiliary) yang sering tersembunyi.

• To Be: Langsung pindahkan (is/am/are/was/were).
• Action Verbs (Present): Gunakan Do/Does.
  • She sings, doesn’t she?
• Action Verbs (Past): Gunakan Did.
  • They left, didn’t they?
• Jebakan:Have/Has/Had sebagai kata kerja utama (artinya “punya”) pakai Do/Does/Did.
  • You have a car, don’t you?

8.2. Continuous Tenses (Present, Past, Future)

Fokus pada kata bantu pertama, abaikan Verb-ing.

• Present/Past: Pindahkan To Be-nya.
  • We are eating, aren’t we?
• Future Continuous: Ambil Will-nya saja, abaikan be.
  • She will be sleeping, won’t she?

8.3. Perfect Tenses (Present & Past)

Gunakan Have, Has, atau Had yang ada di kalimat.

• Present Perfect: You have seen it, haven’t you?
• Past Perfect: He had gone, hadn’t he?
• Jebakan Singkatan: * ‘s + V3 = Has.
  • ‘d + V3 = Had.

8.4. Special Cases (Pengecualian)

Ini adalah daftar “VVIP” yang tidak mengikuti aturan standar:

• I am: Menjadi aren’t I? (Tapi I am not tetap am I?).
• Let’s: Selalu shall we?
• Imperative (Perintah/Larangan): Biasanya will you?
• Negative Words: (Never, Seldom, Hardly, Nothing) -> Tag wajib Positif.
• Indefinite Pronouns:
  • Somebody/Everyone/No one -> Tag pakai they.
  • Something/Everything/Nothing -> Tag pakai it.
